"Hey fellas, thought I would drop yall a few pics from our weekend
hunt. Hope ya'll enjoy them. We flushed the 2 hogs with a bird dog,and
ambushed them with the guns. The bigger hog was 180 lb.,and the smaller
one was 105 lb, Both boars. These were taken in Hearne TX. at my
buddy's ranch" |
John
Koenig took these 2 hogs on a large ranch in north Texas. They were his
first bow kills - the boar on ( left) dressed 103# and the sow was 130#. The
hogs were taken "spot and stalk" and in John's words:" the action was quite
hair raising for a few moments."

These next 3 come from Travis Caraway: "My
name is Travis Caraway. When I saw the invite to send some of my hog
pictures I thought I'd share some of my favorites with ya'll.(cont.)

My buddies and
I are all students at Texas A&M and we spend as much time hog hunting as
school will allow. We hunt in College Station and Navasota.
These two hogs came from our honey-hole right outside of town in
College Station. " (cont.) |

"We only hunt at night and we only use sticks and strings. Both of
these hogs
were spotted and stalked, one in the dead of winter and the bigger one in
the
dead of summer. Hope ya'll enjoy and I'll send you some more
pictures as soon as I can." |

" I shot this boar at 615am, Monday morning
November 11, 2002 at about 30 yards. He was
headed to my feeder. I wish I had shot him
about 4 ruined feeders ago. He was a little
over 200lbs with real nice tusks. I shot him with
a weatherby 270, 130 grain soft point, Nikon 3X9 scope"

This Boar weighed 285 Lbs. We walked 2 hours to get to the bay.
He had 3.25 inch cutters. I have killed Hogs that weighed more and Hogs
that had better teeth but this is an all around good Boar.. All the dogs
are fine and ready to hunt again.

Shotgunning Guide for the Hunter and Shooter. The boar was a 290
pounder taken with a 45-70 double rifle that was made by Mr. Riekers |
Boar was shot on Dec 27, 2002 in Medina County at the
Rafter O ranch. Shot
at a range of ~ 150 yards with a Remington 7mm Sendero. I
was actually deer
hunting and had a couple of deer in front of the feeder and
all of the
sudden they started running towards me and out of the
bushes came this big
tank. Boar weighed ~ 220 lbs.

Cody Walker: We were hunting ducks in the High Plains of Texas. We
did ok. We did better when on the way back we ran into this hog. I got lucky
shot him once in the head with my pistol. |
Cody & Jesse Walker: The day the space shuttle came apart
over the skies of texas I was hog hunting. And this is grandpa hog that we
ended up with. We found him beded down next to a wheat field just before
day light. We were on the Nail Ranch West of Dallas Texas.
|
Cody Walker: Sometimes my wife
Jesse likes to come along when I deer hunt. When she does she laughs so
much that we don't really ever see anything. We were hunting in Sweetwater
Texas when this one came out. She was really
excited about it.
